Category research

Choose the Right Product Category Before You Compare

Choose the category before the seller or result. It gives you a repeatable way to decide which photos, dimensions, source details, and weight notes matter.

Each card is a complete, clickable route to a separate Yupoooo directory. Use the short research prompt before judging any external result.

These destinations are third-party catalog pages. Their content, availability, and product claims are not controlled or verified by Yupoo Explained.

Why category-first research works

Some people begin with a brand or model name, but category-first research is easier to compare. Start with shoes, sneakers, clothing, bags, watches, or accessories, then inspect the external product details and source links yourself.

A category also changes the checklist: footwear needs sole and sizing evidence; bags need dimensions and interior views; electronics need specification and compatibility context.

Before opening a result

Use the checklist written for that product type

A shoe size problem, a bag-capacity question and an electronics compatibility question need different evidence.

What evidence matters for each category

Category groupPrioritizeCommon gap
Clothing and jerseysGarment measurements, fabric, print, front and backSize label without actual measurements
Shoes and sneakersProfile, outsole, materials, size notes, code, box weightOnly polished top-angle photos
Bags and handbagsDimensions, interior, closures, hardware, strapsNo scale or capacity view
Accessories and watchesDimensions, fastening points, close details, claimsSmall details hidden by low resolution
Electronics and earphonesModel, specifications, compatibility, included parts, conditionAppearance without functional information

Which category should a reader start with?

Start with the category that best describes the object, not the label you hope to find. Use Clothing as the safe parent for hoodies, shirts, jackets, pants, or shorts when no narrower route has been verified. Use Accessories for jewelry, headwear, or glasses. Open All products only when the product family is genuinely uncertain.

Checklist before opening an external result

  • I know which product details should be visible.
  • I have a neutral category, description, or product code.
  • I will keep the catalog URL separate from any Yupoo or raw source link.
  • I understand that the first result is not automatically the best choice.
  • I will use the nine-point checklist before saving.
