Define the shipment behind the quote
A shipping quote connected to a Yupoo item is not a platform rate. Record who issued it, the packed order, chargeable weight, destination, route, currency, timing basis, and exclusions before placing it beside another number.
Start with the packed order, not the album photo
An album can help estimate whether an item is bulky, but it cannot provide the final packed measurement. A responsible quote should be based on the actual or clearly estimated shipment: item count, packaging, cartons, total mass and carton dimensions.
Details to send with a shipping request
- Product codes and confirmed quantities
- Whether boxes, hangers, cases or retail packaging are included
- Number of cartons, when known
- Actual packed weight or a clearly labelled estimate
- Length, width and height of each carton with units
- Destination country and postcode
- Preferred route or service level, if one is required
- Whether tracking, insurance, duties, taxes or remote-area charges are included
Actual weight and volumetric weight describe different things
Actual weight is the measured mass of the packed shipment. Volumetric weight converts the space occupied by a carton into a chargeable figure. Because the divisor and rounding rules vary by carrier and route, use the numbers supplied for the actual service instead of a universal conversion.
Comparison rule: keep length, width, height, measurement units, route-specific divisor and rounding rule visible. If one quote uses actual weight and another uses volumetric weight, they are not yet directly comparable.

Ask for a fresh quote when the shipment changes
Re-quote when quantity, packaging, carton count, packed measurement, destination, route or requested service changes. Repacking can lower volume while changing protection. Adding a product can move the shipment into another weight tier. Keep the previous quote as dated history; do not edit it until it appears to match the new order.
Reasons not to compare yet
- One amount includes product cost and the other is freight only.
- The quotes use different destinations, currencies or routes.
- One uses estimated item weight and the other uses measured packed weight.
- Delivery time has no stated starting point or is presented as guaranteed.
- Duties, taxes, insurance, handling or remote-area charges are not addressed.

What a quote comparison cannot promise
A well-organized comparison can reveal what changed between two offers, but it cannot lock in cost, timing, customs treatment, or delivery. Before proceeding, ask the responsible service to confirm the current chargeable weight, route, exclusions, and validity period.
