Keep the contact tied to the page you checked
An album may show a seller contact for WhatsApp or WeChat without providing a complete transaction path. Use only details published on an authorized current source, compare them with the outside listing, and pause if the identity changes without explanation.
For one product inquiry, identify one item and one option. A usable quote should state currency, quantity basis, date, inclusions, exclusions, and—when relevant—the destination and shipping route. The messaging app itself does not verify any of those details.
Prepare a small item record before you write
A message is easier to answer when you have already separated the item from the surrounding album. Save the page URL, visible product code, item description, selected color or size, screenshot date, and the exact field you could not confirm.
When a page shows several models or options, send the URL and written code alongside any screenshot. Text can be searched, copied, and matched later; an image by itself is easy to misunderstand.
Use one message with five parts
- Identify the item: include a working URL and any visible code.
- Name the option: specify color, size, material, version, or set contents.
- State a quantity: use an exact number or a narrow range instead of “many.”
- Ask focused questions: unit price, MOQ, availability, lead time, and evidence relevant to that category.
- Add destination context only when needed: country and postcode can help with a shipping estimate; other personal details are unnecessary at this stage.
A message template that keeps the item visible
Hello. I am checking this item: [saved URL]
Product code: [code or “not shown”]
Option: [color / size / version]
Quantity: [number]
Please confirm: unit price and currency, MOQ, availability, what is included, and estimated preparation time.
If shipping is quoted: destination [country / postcode] and whether the amount includes the stated route, tracking, duties or taxes.
Remove questions that do not apply. A shorter message tied to one product is usually easier to compare than a long list of unrelated links.
Read the reply against the page you saved
A fast answer is not automatically a complete answer. Make sure the reply refers to the same code, option, and quantity, then save the currency, price basis, date, inclusions, and exclusions. If the answer changes the item, create a new row rather than attaching it to the original one.
| Reply field | What to record | Reason to ask again |
|---|---|---|
| Item | URL, code and option | Reply names a different model or no code |
| Price | Currency, per-piece or per-set basis | Number has no currency or quantity basis |
| Quantity | MOQ and allowed color/size mix | “Minimum order” is not defined |
| Timing | Preparation estimate and its starting point | Timing is presented as a guarantee |
| Shipping | Route, packed basis and exclusions | “Included” has no destination or route |
Keep a first inquiry low-risk
- A basic product question rarely requires identity documents, payment details, or private account information.
- A familiar logo, profile photo, or messaging handle is not proof of who controls the account.
- Pause when the contact identity changes between the page, source listing, and reply.
- Urgency and a temporary price are reasons to slow down, not reasons to pay.
- Read the responsible platform’s current buyer-protection and dispute terms before any transaction.
Use the reply in the next step
If the reply mentions a minimum, use the MOQ guide. If it gives a code-based price, save it with the fields in the product-code quote guide. If photos are offered, compare them using the QC guide. For a shipping number, use the shipping quote comparison.
Keep expectations realistic
A clear message can make a reply easier to compare, but it cannot establish who you are speaking with or make a payment route safe. Keep the page URL beside the conversation, pause if the contact changes, and use the buyer-safety guide before any commitment.
